Term 4 Week 3 - Kiwi Kai

This term we are celebrating and promoting 5+ A Day at Hingaia Peninsula School.

We will be having a Kiwi Kai Master Chef competition. The 5+ A Day Charitable Trust encourages all Kiwis to eat and enjoy five or more servings of fresh fruit and vegetables everyday for better health and wellbeing.

Teachers have entered into the Kiwi Kai Masterchef lead up by taking part in a two stage competition. We have had a range of Kiwi Kai which our student judges have tasted and scored. Moving through from the first round to the finals were; Cole, Hayley, Mel and Shaun. Our finals held this week had students tasting the teacher delicacies of frozen banana treats, ambrosia, marbled eggs and fruit leather. Our official teacher Kiwi Kai Masterchef is Cole who won with his frozen banana treats! We are looking forward to him maintaining his title through regular tasty treats for staff!

We would like to invite you to join us at our upcoming Student Kiwi Kai Master Chef event. By helping us share 5+ A Day messages with our community, we go in the draw to win some great prizes for our school. We are also looking for some parent judges on Wednesday 31 October 2012, please contact Shaun or Nadine.
