2012 Term 4 Week 9 - Camp

This week we took 32 students, 4 parents, 4 teachers and 3 SLT to Lakewood Lodge for the most amazing camp.
What a fabulous way to end our first year!
Our students had 4 fun packed days experiencing high ropes, spot light, burma trails, climbing wall, horses, archery, animal feeding, kayaking, ironman challenge, flying fox … not to mention survival camp which saw us building bivouacs and fires and running through mud to complete puzzle challenges!!
It was great to see their leadership, confidence, stamina and attitude develop over the week. Our older students helped our youngest students through the mud run and iron challenge and our Year 3 students had an opportunity to develop bonds with their new whanau in preparation for their transition to Nikau Studio next year.
Our thanks to our amazing dads who joined us for the week - we couldn't have done it without your help and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did!!
